  Bansilal M Jumaani
Shardhanjali By Sanjay B Jumaani and Swetta Jumaani
8 th of May 2006 spelt the end of a great era with the passing away of our father and Guru Bansilal M Jumaani, he was our friend, Philosopher and Guide, to who we are indebted for life.

We have used the word end, but his end can never come, for his Legacy will go on and the light that he has shown the world will never fade. He was instrumental in changing the life’s of scores of people for the better, and whenever anyone sees a misspelt name, Bansilal M Jumaani will instantly be remembered. Even after he has left for his heavenly abode, his light still shines, he will continue to do what he started, and spread the pearls of his wisdom through his children Sanjay B Jumaani and Swetta Juimaani.

Till a few years ago the science of Numerology was dying a natural death, due to disuse and neglect, even those who had the knowledge of this science, did not actually know how exactly to use it for helping mankind. It was Bansilal M Jumaani who through his years of study, hard work and experimentation found out the method of decreasing negative energies and increasing positive energies thereby improving the quality of the human life.

He was so involved and so confident of his science that in his last few days on this earth, he told his daughter Meeinal Rane, ‘beta I will prove to the world that Numerology is a proper science by going to meet my maker either on the 4 th or the 8 th’. In fact even before the year 2006 had started he had said that I feel that I will not be able to cross this number 8 year, he was born in the earth period and turned 67 (6+7=13=4) on the 20 th of January True to his words, even though he did not suffer from any major life threatening diseases, on the 8 th day of May 2006 (2+0+0+6=8) (this is a earth period too) which was ekadashi at about 1:30 in the afternoon he passed away peacefully in his sleep. The number 8 represents shani and shani gave him moksha on this day.

The number 8 is a spiritual number; people like Mother Mary and Mother Teressa were born on this date, when our father passed away he was 67 (6+7= 4), His wife Binduu who is our mother was 58 (5+8=4), Swetta Jumaani and her husband Mahendra were both 40 (4+0=4) his son in law Salil Rane was 35 (3+5=8) and his Daughter in law Jhernna S Jumaani is 31 (3+1=4), so when his end came he was surrounded with a lot of 4 and 8 numbers which he avoided all his life.

Bansilal M Jumaani was born in Karachi (now in Pakistan). His family migrated to Bombay during the partition. He worked as a finance broker, which was his family business. he married at the age of 25 on the 26 of January 1965, this is from where his downfall had started (After learning Numerology he has always preached that no one should ever marry on the dates that total to a 4 or 8) due to certain family problems he had to leave his family business. There was no one except his wife and in laws to help him. No one from the Jumani family ever came forward to support him. He than for some time distributed video cassettes and had a sun film agency. His cycle of hard luck continued for the next 35 years, (When we speak to our clients about the 35 year cycle, it is said through our own experience).

People used to say that these were the worst days of his life, but what they do not see is that these dark years full of hardships were actually a blessing in disguise, not for him. but for those thousands of people who are reaping the harvest of his hard work and experimentations, Bansilal M Jumaani used his hard days to study this occult science which would eventually go on to change the life’s of scores of people. Luckily his son and daughter inherited his knowledge and are carrying forward the work he has left behind.

It was in the late sixties and early seventies that he started dabbling in numerology as a hobby, soon this hobby turned into a passion, he read more than 200 books, a priest at the Sitladevi temple near four bungalows, Andheri guided him with various scriptures. He would advice close friends. Family disputes and the burden of marrying off two daughters ensured that Numerology remained a hobby, for if branded as a “Jyotishi” he would have problems in marrying off his daughters.

The turning point in his career came when he managed to get a message across to a famous film star who had been jailed “I told them if they brought up the case for hearing on a particular day, he would be able to walk free”. They heeded my advice and the rest is history. “I was rewarded with money which I refused, but he told me that only if I charged money for my services will I get fame. A film distributor and friend Farahad Nathani tested him by giving him film titles a few days before the film release and asked him to predict the results, when satisfied he gave the title “Kaho Na a Pya ar Hai” Jumaani added two extra A’s.

This happened around the end of his 35 th year of marriage. KNPH was released on the 14 of January, initially it did not do too well after his marriage anniversary on the 26 th January the movie picked up and was a runaway hit.

Soon there was a flood of film stars and producers, who came to him to him to change their life’s, and he soon came to be known as the Numerologist of the stars. Ektaa Kapoor consulted him for every balaji telefilm title.

Scores of film and television stars, top cricketers and industrialists have consulted him, but he was always more interested in helping the ordinary people, names of famous personalities were quoted only to spread the wonders of numerology, but what really counted was blessings and good will of the ordinary people.

With the blessing and goodwill of all of you we am sure that Bansilal M Jumaani has found his rightful place at god’s feet in heaven.

Although we cannot match his vast knowledge and skills. We will do our best to carry forward his legacy and in our own small way try to bring as much as peace and happiness to the world as we can.

The man who has given such a lot to the world has now gone to his heavenly abode, although we are sad for ourselves, at the same time we are happy for our father as he has gone on Ekadashi, and on the 8 th which is a spiritual number, he went in his sleep, and was healthy till the end, he did not have to see the hospital or feel the pain of some illness.

May his soul rest in peace.
