How It All Began
The story of a simple test that sparked a numerological revolution in Bollywood and beyond.
The Breakthrough Film
A Test of Fate
The story of the Jumaanis’ rise began when film distributor and friend Farahad Nathani tested the late Bansilal M. Jumaani. For nine months, he gave Bansilal unreleased film titles and asked him to predict their results.
After a streak of remarkable accuracy, one title arrived that would change everything—literally.
Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai
The film was “Kaho Na Pyar Hai.” Acting on his numerological insights, Bansilal advised adding two extra 'A's, transforming it into “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.”
This subtle shift altered the title's vibrations, propelling the film to become a superhit phenomenon. It launched Hrithik Roshan into stardom and redefined Rakesh Roshan’s career.
The Balaji Connection
A Television Empire Reimagined
Impressed by this success, Rakesh Roshan introduced Bansilal to veteran actor Jeetendra. This meeting proved pivotal, as Jeetendra's son, Tusshar Kapoor, was suggested to add an extra 's' to his name, and his daughter, Ekta Kapoor, became a firm believer in numerology's power.
Under Bansilal's guidance, Ekta Kapoor began ensuring every Balaji Telefilms serial title aligned with numerological principles, sparking the golden era of Indian television. This gave rise to blockbuster titles such as:
- Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
- Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii
- Kkusum & Kaahin Kissii Roz
- Kasauti Zindagi Kay
- Kaahin To Hoga
The ripple effect extended to other TV hits like Desh Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, Sanjivani, Khullja Sim Sim, Kumkum, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, and Ye Meri Life Hai.
